Chinese New Year Food Ideas

Chinese dumplings - also known as Jiaozi. You can buy the dumplings from Asian grocery stores. You can either fry or boil them. Serve it with a dipping sauce made with soy sauce and hot chili oil.

Chinese Rice Cake - (Nian gao). These are good for dessert. You can either buy them or bake them according to your choice. Of course, baking them will make it more special as you can add colors and customize the designs.

Lion's Head Meatballs - This is from Shanghai. You can prepare ground beef or pork rolls then serve it in a bed of cabbage.

 

green-lettuce-03Chinese Stir Fried Vegetables - This is very easy and takes you around 5-10 minutes to prepare.  Simply stir fry veggies and add oyster sauce. That's it!
