Originally, the big guy and I plan to eat at Cheesecakes, Burgers and Drinks (CBD) in Ayala Triangle Gardens, but to our disappointment, the store is now owned and replaced by Bread Talk. :( So, I suggested for Plan B, which is, trying Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes just a few steps from Bread Talk.
It was my second time to dine there. I remembered the first time. I really enjoyed their pasta. So, we decided to go for that dish. We picked our orders as we scan the menu.
Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne is priced at P185. This is good for sharing. Actually, it is a heavy meal, I promise you. :) The al dente penne pasta was topped white cheese sauce, meaty tomato sauce, and sautéed hungarian sausage. Tastes like heaven. Served with pesto bread. Oh, if only I can take it home with me and eat it on my bed. But no, our dear ants might be munching their way to our expanded polystyrene foam sheets. LOL!
For P120, you get to enjoy the Super Ceasar Salad. My husband and I really enjoyed it since we are both Ceasar salad fans. But I, personally, cannot avoid comparing it to Pizza Hut's Ceasar salad. While Banapple's has more serving than the latter, with regards to taste, I guess Pizza Hut is more sour-ish or shall I say has more acidity over this one. Also, I love Pizza Hut's crouton. Well, we're a bit disappointed because Banapple's crouton's doesn't seem and taste like one. Kinda like an old bread sliced to make it look like a crouton or something to that effect.
This Iced Chocolate Drink surely hits the spot and is very affordable for only P80. Take a sip and you'll definitely forget your name. hahah! I don't exactly know what kind of chocolate Banapple is using here but it sure really tastes a lot different than the Iced chocolate drinks we taste. Yum!
As of writing this, I'm craving. Oh my! Gotta visit Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes again. The store really is FTW (for the win)!!
