Foods For Breastfeeding Moms

Since I had just coughed out (LOL!) a very cute baby girl, I need to watch my diet for me and her. One of the things I was advised to include in my daily meal is malunggay. It contains a very healthy substance that will help me increase my milk, thus, giving my girl enough daily supply. Not only that, here are other foods that are very important to new moms like me! Let's take a look:

Choose between milk, cheese or yogurt. Either way, these low-fat dairy products are good in providing protein, B vitamins, and vitamin D, and calcium.


imagesThese legumes, especially the dark ones, are very rich in iron, which is good for us mommies! Beans pls! :)


imagesWe need more Vitamin C to boost our energy while we breastfeed, and oranges & other citrus fruits are great sources of this. If you have a very busy day, have a drink of fresh orange juice while you listen to cheap fender blues deluxe sounds. This will provide you enough power during the day

Eggs are one of the natural sources of Vitamin D. Whether you scramble it, prefer hard-boiled or cook it in any way, make sure to go for DHA-fortified eggs to increase the level of the essential fatty acid in your milk


imagesOur body releases the hormone oxytocin while we breastfeed that is why we get so thirsty Stay hydrated by keeping yourself well-supplied with water. It may not increase our milk production, but it drinking a glass or two will help boost our energy up
