7 Healthy and Budget-Friendly Ways To Serve Fish On Your Table

Since holiday season is over, it’s time to get back to our daily diet. And a good way to do that is by working out and treating your tummy to a healthy and nutritious meal.

1. Microwaveable Bangus Lemon Butter



Deboned milkfish belly with a rich, tangy lemon butter sauce. Best paired with a steaming cup of rice or a side of vegetables

Cooking Procedure:

Remove fish and sauce packs from the box and place on a microwaveable plate. Place sauce pack on top of the fish pack.
Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.
Carefully remove sauce pack from microwave and transfer contents to a small container.
Microwave fish pack for an additional 4 minutes.
Remove fish from pack and transfer to a serving plate.
Pour sauce over the fish or serve on the side as dipping sauce.

2. Fish Hungarian Sausage





Good source of protein. No trans fats. Contains 446 mg Omega-3 per 100g serving.Gluten-free, casein-free, MSG-free, nitrite-free.

Cooking Procedure:

Add 2-3 tbsps of water to a pan set over medium heat.
Cook thawed sausages in the pan and turn them occasionally for 2-3 minutes until most of the water has evaporated.
Add 1 tablespoon of oil. Pan-fry and turn sausages occasionally. Sausages may also be grilled if desired.
Serve hot.

3. Garlic Fish Longaniza





Low in cholesterol & low in fat (See nutrition information for sodium content). Good source of protein. No trans fats. Gluten-free, casein-free, MSG-free, nitrite-free

Cooking Procedure

5. Gourmet Selections Garlic and Herbs Milkfish Loins



Soft and succulent milkfish loins with a burst of spice from garlic and herbs. Best paired with salad greens, corn on the cob or a cup of rice. Can be grilled, pan-fried, or baked.

Cooking Procedure

  • FRY
    Thaw marinated fish loins in the chiller for 4-6 hours.
    Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
    Sear each side of the fish for 2-3 minutes or until done.
    Carefully remove fish from the pan and transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot.

  • GRILL
    Thaw marinated fish loins in the chiller for 4-6 hours.
    Brush the griller bars with oil. Heat for 3-5 minutes.
    Grill each side of the fish for 506 minutes or until done.
    Carefully remove from the griller and transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot.

  • BAKE
    Thaw marinated fish loins in the chiller for 4-6 hours.
    Pre-heat oven to 350 deg F.
    Place fish loins on a non-stick baking sheet.
    Bake for 2-3 minutes.
    Turn over and bake for another 2-3 minutes.
    Carefully remove from the oven and transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot.

6. Smoked Deboned Milkfish



Smoked using imported beechwood chips for robust smoky flavor and a clean, safe product. Serve Fisherfarms Smoked Deboned Milkfish with rice or flake it over pasta for a succulent, smoky treat. Best when pan-fried; can be baked or microwaved

Cooking Procedure

  • Bake
    Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake thawed milkfish on a greased baking pan for 15 minutes.

  • Microwave
    Place thawed milkfish on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes.
  • Fry
    Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat (350°F). Deep-fry thawed milkfish with skin side up for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Flip fish and cook for 1-2 minutes.
