Why Most People Consume So Much Rice?

Statistical surveys say that most of the families around half the world’s population are using rice as their main course - whether it's prepared  indoors, in fast-food chains, restaurants, or even at dinner parties.   Many confess that their meal won’t be completed without it. Why most people consume so much white rice?  What content does it possess to be that addicting? 


 


The rice hold carbohydrates which is also responsible for providing energy to the body.   On the other hand, too much rice consumption will make you more hungry - the tendency? You'll eat more and more rice. Why? Because it has a content that arouses a part of the brain.



A new measure system called GI (Glycemic Index) shows that a simple carb like white rice, white bread, simple sugar and etc. has the highest GI.  The higher the food GI is, the more likely to cause blood glucose increase in the bloodstream which may lead to some serious diseases like high blood, severe heart condition, obesity, diabetes and more.



Eating carb food is not so alarming. In fact, even dollar coin worth of foodies you buy has it. However, always keep it in mind that too much of everything can be harmful.
