Watermelon Lemonade Recipe for this Hot, Hot Summer

Whoo! This hellish weather is really cracking everybody's minds and throats. Water can ease the heat but most of these times, we look forward to consuming a glass pitcher of ice cold lemonade. Now I'm getting thirsty! LOL. Here's a watermelon lemonade recipe you can do at home and share with your friends while enjoying this hot, hot summer.

Watermelon Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 6 cups 1-inch cubes seedless watermelon

  • 1 (10 oz) bottle organic lemon juice (or same amount of juice squeezed from fresh lemons)

  • 6 cups of water

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • crushed ice

  • mint sprigs, for garnish


How to do

  • Puree watermelon and lemon juice in a blender until smooth.

  • Transfer to a large bowl and add water and sugar.

  • Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  • Pour over ice in tall glasses and garnish with mint or a wedge of watermelon perched on the edge of the glass.
