Last week, together with my plate mate and our little angel, we tried Jollibee's NEW Pancake Sandwich.
We first visited Jollibee Pateros branch but the crew said the item was not available so we road a jeep for Guadalupe.
At the counter, instead of going for only the sandwich itself which costs P50, I ordered the Pancake Sandwich with Peach Mango Pie and Hot Choco for only P79.
I also bought a couple of breakfast meals for my two companions :)
Anyhoo, let's talk about the Pancake Sandwich. Unwrapping it, you'll see a regular bun-like meal. It's like a burger meal, only the bun was replaced with pancakes. Inside is a sunny side up egg topped with bacon strips.
At first I was a bit skeptic of what would this combination taste like. My mind was conditioned that pancakes are only eaten with maple syrup, right?
So, I grabbed my Jollibee Pancake Sandwich, took my first bite and was surprised that it DOES tastes good! I mean, your buds will first feel that fluffy pancake before it reaches to that crispy and perfectly salty bacon ending to the creamy sunny side up egg with evenly cooked white and soft creamy yolk. Dont' forget the cheese that balanced all the flavors. Believe me, you're not going to need any mapple syrup, ketchup, or anything to add to this particular breakfast joy.
Although already perfect on its own, nothing beats a sweet hot chocolate to end your already perfect morning. Add to that a hot Peach Mango Pie and your morning will never be the same again.
